Our story

It all began with a passion for food and plants, and what more interesting than a pepper plant, right?

From a single plant near the window in an apartment with a few enticing peppers on it, to a bursting pepper garden with an ever growing number of new and fascinating varieties.

As the number of pepper plants exploded in the garden, so did the number of peppers they produced. Pretty soon we had more peppers than we could eat…. so we sauced!

Again, we had more sauce than we could eat in a whole year… so we shared our sauce with people we knew, and people fell in love with our sauce, especially chiliheads like us, who felt that commercial sauces weren’t spicy enough.

Before we knew it, people were reaching out asking for more and more sauce.

 

 
 

Our philosophy

We strongly believe in being a local product from farm to bottle with clean ingredients.

Reducing ingredient sourcing distance is critical because it ensures that we only use plant ripened peppers that have not been picked prematurely for shipping purposes, allowing both flavors and heat to fully develop.

As part of our commitment, we grow our own peppers and collaborate with local growers who are as committed as we are to the non-use of pesticides to produce top quality clean peppers for our sauces.

We also ensure that our sauces are preservatives and chemical free, and rich with probiotics. This makes our sauces beneficial as well as amazingly flavorful.

 

Our Responsibility

Part of our commitment is our dedication to being responsible, not just towards our sauces and customers, but towards the planet and the environment.

That is why all organic matter not used in the sauce production process, is composted and used to feed the pepper garden. This helps us reduce our waste and impact on the environment, whilst also making our pepper garden richer and healthier.
